Paris, 16 September 2011 – The first edition of midem’s new Visionary Monday on 30 January 2012 will welcome Dan Rose, Facebook’s Vice President of Partnerships, as a keynote speaker. Dan Rose is responsible for Facebook’s worldwide business development and merger and acquisition activities and he leads product marketing and partnerships for Facebook Platform and Credits, the virtual payment system used for Facebook applications.
“midem is very proud to welcome the most emblematic social network with over 750 million active members,” says Bruno Crolot, Head of Music Markets at Reed MIDEM. “Artists already figure among the most popular Facebook profiles, a trend that should increase in 2012. We hope to hear more on Facebook’s music strategy during the f8 Developer Conference to be held on 22 September in San Francisco,” he adds.
Visionary Monday is one of the most exciting new launches for midem 2012, offering an extremely rich programme. The day will include short presentations, debates, consumer surveys and the results of the weekend’s flagship competitions and events, including the winners of midemlab, and will tackle a wide range of subjects on the theme of audience participation.
midem is now firmly established as the key meeting point where traditional music industry players, artists, new technologies, advertising agencies and brands come together and interact around the single, shared theme of music
